The Hermès scarf “Les Plaisirs du Froid” (The Pleasures of the Cold) was designed by Hugo Grygkar and first issued in 1955. This is the 1990s reissue, in a superb palette of brick red, cream and sky blue. The expression “carré d'art” (a work of art in silk), so often used of the Hermès scarf, takes on its full meaning here: we are looking at a true painting. The finesse of the drawing and the details, framed by a vibrant brick red, bring to life this scene of “pleasures of the cold” from another age, which one never tires of looking at. In very good condition, with its box and outer box. Very rare and much sought after.
