Created by Jean de Fougerolles , Le Laisser Courre was first published in 1979 , then republished in 1989 and 1991. This is a rare pleated version , highly sought after.

This square illustrates a key moment in the hunt : the "letting go," a solemn instant when the huntsman unties the hounds, marking the beginning of the chase. More than a hunting scene, this square evokes a ritual, a codified celebration of nature, where grandeur, violence, and beauty combine in an ancient ceremony, deeply rooted in the aristocratic imagination.

Condition : New, never worn. You will receive this clean, neat scarf, ready to wear or give as a gift , presented in its original round Hermès box .
The photos are an integral part of the description. We invite you to examine them carefully to get a clear idea of its condition.

What is a Hermès Pleated Scarf?

The pleated squares are a unique interpretation of the iconic Hermès 90 x 90 cm scarf, whose silk has been worked into permanent pleats . This is not a different weave, but rather a handcrafted pleating applied after the pattern is printed, creating a three-dimensional texture that transforms the object into a textile sculpture .

This accordion pleating , created in or under the supervision of Hermès workshops, gives the scarf suppleness, structure, and volume . It hugs the neck or shoulders differently than a traditional square scarf, offering effects of light and elegant movement with every wear.

Main features:

Size: 90 x 90 cm before pleating (reduced dimensions once pleated). Material: 100% silk twill. Permanent pleating (not reversible). Fluid yet structured look, very flattering worn as a collar or headband. Rare and increasingly sought after by collectors.

Care instructions:

Pleated scarves should not be ironed, as this will cause them to lose their texture. They should be stored rolled up (often in a round Hermès box designed for this purpose), away from moisture.
The cleaning must be done dry, by a professional familiar with this type of silk .
