Hermès Imperial Collection scarf , issued in 2015. This scarf was created by Catherine Baschet in collaboration with the Musée des Arts Décoratifs and has never been reissued. Vibrant palette: fuchsia pink , blue, yellow. Excellent condition, new, never worn. Composition label present. Rare and sought-after.
With this Catherine Baschet scarf, the brand continues its exploration of the refinement of Eastern artisanal techniques. It draws inspiration from the cloisonné techniques of the Ming and Qing dynasties in China. The cloisonné technique involves creating patterns using thin strips of metal laid across the fabric, forming networks that are then filled with enamel. Floral and geometric motifs feature the brand's signature horse, a symbol of both the brand and its carriage, a highly symbolic animal in Chinese mythology, much like the dragon with which it is often associated.
